DHEMAJI, Jan 11 - The body of a local trader was fished out of the Chakuli pool near Ghilamara-Dhapalial-Dhakuakhana Road here recently. According to the police, the incident occurred when the victim, 40-year-old Minaram Saikia, was crossing the bridge over the pool on his bicycle.
A team of police officials with the help of locals recovered the body and the bicycle next day morning after some locals found the body floating in the pool.
The victim was an inhabitant of Akhoiphutia village in Ghilamara area under Ghilamara police station. He was returning home after closing his vegetable shop at Ghilamara market.
