GUWAHATI, Aug 29 - Four armed miscreants looted around Rs 6,000 from the owner of Gupta Marbles at Lalungaon here on Friday night after firing a shot in the air, a police source said today.
�The incident took place at 8:20 pm. A four-member team rushed towards the owner who was at the parking lot outside the showroom and snatched a bag from him at gunpoint. They even fired a shot in the air,� the police source said. The miscreants had come in a blue vehicle, the source added. However, no injuries were reported.
Police are going through the CCTV footage installed at the showroom to ascertain the identities of the miscreants.
City Police Commissioner Munna Prasad Gupta said, �We have got some vital evidence and will hopefully nab the gang soon.� A case has been registered and investigation is under way.
