DHUBRI, July 19 - Under the Chief Minister�s Samagra Gramya Unnayan Yojana, Dhubri district will get as any as 378 tractors by August 15.
While attending a tractor distribution ceremony in Dhubri, State Food and Civil Supplies Minister, Phani Bhusan Choudhury said that Dhubri district has many achievements when it comes to agricultural produce.
�From this district, we have received applications from more than 11,000 self help groups (SHGs) of various villages, but for the first phase we have selected only 378 groups from different villages of the district,� said Choudhury.
While unveiling six tractors at the Dhubri Circuit House, the minister said that rest of the tractors will be given to the beneficiary groups by August 15.
The distribution ceremony was attended by the MLAs of the district along with administrative officials and beneficiaries.
