SILCHAR, Feb 14 - A five-year-old was severely injured after the toy train at Silchar Gandhi Park derailed on Saturday evening. Two other minors were also injured in the incident.
Five-year-old Rituraj Paul is undergoing treatment at the Silchar Medical College and Hospital. Meanwhile, the police have apprehended Rajesh Das, supervisor of the park run by the Silchar civic board. The train operator has also been taken into custody. The family members of the injured minor have alleged that the operator and the park authority were negligent of the condition of the train which caused the incident.
On the other hand, the operator Ranjit Ghosh said that the kid suddenly jumped from the moving toy train.
