DIMAPUR, March 18 - Additional Chief Secretary of Nagaland Temjen Toy took over as new Chief Secretary of the State on Saturday. He succeeds outgoing Chief Secretary Pankaj Kumar, who has been posted as Additional Secretary, Union Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology.
A farewell was organised for the outgoing Chief Secretary in Kohima on Saturday. He served as the chief secretary for over three years since March 1, 2015.
Highlighting the problems persisting in the State over the years, Kumar said streamlining of recruitment, optimal allocation of funds for better performance and transparency in awarding contracts, among other issues are challenging.
