AGARTALA, Jan 27 - Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) leader Pravin Togadia on Wednesday called for an infiltrator-free country.
�Bangladesh nationals who had infiltrated in different parts of the country including Tripura should be sent back to their land to make India an infiltrator-free country,� he said while speaking at a seminar at Rabindra Bhavan here.
�The Centre should provide Indian citizenship to all the Hindu migrants who have come over here. But, if the Muslim infiltrators claim Indian citizenship, they have to undergo �genetic test� first�, he said.
�All the Bangladeshi Hindu migrants should be provided Indian citizenship as they have come over due to religious disturbances across the border. If any Bangladeshi Muslim immigrants claim for country�s citizenship, they should first undergo genetic test to prove they had Indian ancestors,� Togadia said.
Togadia, who arrived here on a two-day visit, said that the population and wealth of Hindus are getting lessened since the past 2000 years because Hindus are not secure in their own land � India and other countries like Bangladesh, Europe and USA, etc.
�The Prime Minister and government in respective States should take initiatives to turn back the infiltrators to Bangladesh; otherwise, they should resign from their posts�, he demanded.
