By Staff Correspondent

SILCHAR, April 9 - Claiming that Trinamool Congress will win all the 42seats in West Bengal in the Lok Sabha election, Municipal and Urban Development Minister-cum-Mayor of Kolkata, Firhad Hakim urged voters of Barak Valley to support his party candidates here as well.

Addressing a public meeting in Silchar on Monday, Hakim said, TMC will win all the seats in West Bengal. If people in other States also extend their support and trust, we assure that we shall stand behind the oppressed and the common masses. We have fielded candidates for eight seats across Assam and Barak Valley. The voters should elect the two TMC candidates in Silchar and Karimganj seats and strengthen our hands.

He was quick to add that TMC will play a decisive role in the formation of the next government at the Centre.

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Bannerjee also shared her message to the people of Barak Valley over phone saying, we had committed to stand behind the 40 lakh people left out of the NRC draft list and we are rooted to our promise.

Hitabrata Roy has been nominated to contest on TMC ticket from Silchar while Chandan Das is the party's face in Karimganj (SC) Parliamentary seat.
