MORIGAON, Dec 13 - A daylong political convention of the Tiwa Jatiya Oikya Manch was held here today to chalk out a strategy to fight the forthcoming Assam Assembly election.
Altogether, 200 delegates representing the party from Nagaon and Morigaon districts took part in the convention. Addressing the gathering, Ramakanta Deori, Chief Executive Member of the Tiwa Autonomous Council and president of Tiwa Jatiya Oikya Manch said that his party was ready for an alliance with the BJP for the Assam Assembly election.
