MORIGAON, Nov 18 - The State Election Commissioner, Assam, Alok Kumar, has issued a notification declaring that the election to the 36-seat Tiwa Autonomous Council (TAC) will be held on December 17.
It said the poll process in the constituencies falling under Morigaon, Nagaon, Hojai and Kamrup Metro districts will begin right from today.
The last date of filing of nominations is November 25, and scrutiny of nomination papers will be conducted on November 26. The last date of withdrawal of nomination is November 28, while the date of counting is December 19.
