GUWAHATI, Feb 4 - Titans Club annexed the Rashmi Bala Tamuli Memorial Guwahati Sports Association (GSA) B Division Cricket League title by defeating Brahmaputra Boys Club by six runs.
At the Latasil playground here today, put in to bat, Titans Club boys put up a competitive total of 213 for the loss of eight wickets in their stipulated 30 overs. Manoj Barman top scored with a fine knock of 110.
In reply Brahmaputra Boys Club batsmen managed 207 for the loss of five wickets in their stipulated overs. Janti Koch scored an unbeaten 98 while Gautam Bhatta scalped two wickets conceding five runs in his two overs.
GSA president Munin Nobis, secretary Bhola Boro, vice president Nabab Ali and cricket secretary Ranjit Kumar Sarma congratulated the India U-19 team and Assam boy Riyan Parag who was a member of the ICC U-19 World Cup winning team.
