Tinsukia students stop plying of trains

TINSUKIA, March 19 - Demanding immediate arrest of all the culprits including main accused of Silapathar incident, Subodh Biswas, activists ofthe Tinsukia unit of All Assam Students� Union (AASU), the Tinsukia District Students� Union (TDSU) and 19 other organisations blocked the Rajdhani Express at New Tinsukia Railway Junction here last night resulting in delayed departure of the train as well as those of other trains. The student organisations staged the protest programme demanding fulfillment of their three demands, namely, arrest of culprits of Silapathar incident and rollback of the Citizenship Amendment Bill. The other protest prgrammes of the student bodies includes hoisting of black flages in public places on March 20 and a public rally on March 21. Protesters threatened that if their demands are not met, then they would intensify their stir.
