TINSUKIA, March 4 - Host Tinsukia marched into the quarterfinals of the 9th Veterans� Inter District and Inter Institutional T-20 Cricket Tournament for the Madhurjya Prasad Barooah and Badan Ch Saikia Trophy.
In a pre quarterfinal match of the championship at the Katchujan Field here today, Tinsukia defeated Charaideo by six wickets.
Opting to bat first, Charaideo were all out for 103 in 19.5 overs and in reply Tinsukia took 18 overs to cross opponent�s total.
Narendra Prasad of Tinsukia was awarded the Man-of-the-Match trophy.
In the second encounter Advocate XI got walk over as their opponent Bajali did not turn up.
