Tihu College Road in a dilapidated state

By A CORRESPONDENT

TIHU, Aug 24 - Though the Government has claimed overall development in the State, but the ground reality is totally different.

The condition of major roads portray the real picture. In Tihu town, the new subdivisional headquarter of Tihu subdivision, the Tihu College Road is in a very deplorable condition. This road is daily used by nearly 5,000 students of Tihu College and Tihu High School. The condition of this important road is such that one cannot imagine without visiting this road. The big potholes of this road have turned the road into an accident-prone one. All the students using this road are discouraged following the apathetic attitude of the PWD, the local MLA as well as the Tihu Town Committee. As the road is the only way to reach Tihu College, Tihu High School, several private schools, electricity office etc., the students and the general public are facing serious problems in reaching their destination.

On the other hand, the Tihu-Sialmari-Akhra PWD Road, Kaithakuchi-Haribhanga-Makhibaha PWD Road, Kanimara-Balipara-Helona PWD Road are also in a very pitiable condition. However, the people have urged the concerned authority to do the needful as early as possible in this regard to mitigate the suffering particularly the students.
