MUSHALPUR, Nov 14 � The Baksa regional committee and the Chaulkara unit of the All Assam Gorkha Students� Union (AAGSU) and Puberoon Yuvak Sangha of Pub Nikashi, Hastinapur jointly organised the Tihar Samaroh at Hastinapur in Baksa district on November 8 and 9.

The inaugural day�s programme was marked by flag hoisting, swahid tarpan, inauguration of cultural stage, lighting of the ceremonial lamp, Deusi Bhaili competition, Tihar Sangeet, cultural evening and staging of a full-length drama titled Abhishap by Puberoon Yuvak Sangha on November 8.

The second day�s programme started with a career counselling programme with Roshan Tamang, a lecturer of botany at Samannay Science College, Borkha, as the resource person. It was followed by felicitation of meritorious students who fared well in the last HSLC and HS examinations. The open session was followed by a open quiz competition, cultural evening and staging of another full-length drama Ragatle Muchhiyeko Siundo.
