JAGIROAD, Dec 3 - Tiger Club, Bangthaigaon emerged champions in the Lalit Chandra Deka Memorial Football Tournament defeating Dohali-Mokoria Football Club 1-0 at the Jagiroad Sports Association ground here today.

The all important goal was scored by Raju Ali who was also adjudged best player of the final. His team-mate Munna Bordoloi got the best goalkeeper of the tournament award.

Tapan Kumar Das, treasurer of Hockey India and Hiren Gogoi, tresurer, Assam Football Association, were the guests in the closing function and gave away the trophies along with trophy donor Munindra Deka and Jitendra Kr Deka, executive president, Jagiroad Sports Association.

The tournament was organised by the Jagiroad Sports Association in which eight teams took part.
