GUWAHATI, June 2 - The Kamrup (Metro) district administration today declared three new containment zones to prevent spread of Covid-19. The newly declared containment zones include Bishnupur-Krishna Nagar, Pub-Sarania and Dhirenpara.
The boundary of the Bishnupur-Krishna Nagar containment zone is Arya Vidyapith College on the north, jute mill on the south, Government ITI on the east and Bishnupur Road on the west.
The boundary of the Pub-Sarania containment zone is Bhabananda Deka Road on the north, South Sarania Road on the south, Pramathesh Baruah Road on the east and residences of Chittaranjan Dutta and others on the west.
The boundary of the Dhirenpara containment zone is residences of Nabajit Barman and Bihuram Boro on the north, residences of Kamakhya Prasad Gupta and others on the south, residence Md Abul Ali on the east and AK Dev Road on the west.
Meanwhile, the district administration also removed the containment zone tags from Dinesh Ojha Path, Bihari Patty, Bhootnath and Bishnupur- Fatasil as no further COVID-19 positive cases were detected there since declaration of containment zones.
