DIBRUGARH, May 30 - Three minor schoolchildren of Dikom Parvati ME School, who were kidnapped this morning from Dikom railway station by masked miscreants, managed to escape when they were about to be transported in a vehicle near Dibrugarh railway station.
The children who were in school uniform were brought to Dibrugarh by a passenger train. The students namely Papu Ali (class VIII), Afsana Begum (Class VI) and Gunja Balmiki (Class VIII) later narrated their story to the police. The children said that they were threatened by the kidnappers showing knife a inside the train and were asked not to make any fuss. Police investigation is on.
