Shwetas charred body was recovered from the lavatory of the house of Govind Singhal at Santipur area on Monday.

Although the accused claim it to be a case of suicide, family members of the deceased have alleged foul play and gone on to state that Shweta was kidnapped, raped and subsequently murdered.

On being produced before the Court here, the trio was remanded to five days police custody.

Both Govind and Shweta were interns in the same Guwahati-based chartered accountant firm.

Police said that prime facie it appears to be a case of murder, although the exact cause of the death would be ascertained only after the arrival of the autopsy report.
