Therell be no dearth of LPG cylinders: Assam Oil Division

By Staff Reporter

GUWAHATI, March 27 - The Indian Oil, Assam Oil Division, has assured the customers of uninterrupted supply of LPG cylinders in the northeastern states during the lockdown period.

It, however, urged the customers not to overbook LPG cylinders out of panic, as by doing so one would end up depriving someone who is in dire need of a cylinder, and, at the same time, it kills unnecessary time on the part of the delivery boys, too.

In a statement, G Ramesh, Chief General Manager and State Head, Indian Oil (Assam Oil Division), said, We are in constant touch with the state governments and the Centre. We have plenty of LPG cylinders enough for everyone.

If the customer is unable to give back an empty cylinder against a filled cylinder, that is one trip which is wasted, he pointed out.

As on date, 70 per cent of the LPG deliveries are done within 48 hours and the remaining we are able to deliver within three days. My team is very confident that we would be able to maintain the record during our fight against the pandemic. Stay home and stay safe, and we will make sure that the stove in your kitchen keeps burning.

We also have multiple mediums for the customers to reach out to us. We have a number where the customers can book their refill (7670024365). One can also type REFILL and send it to the WhatsApp number 7588888824 to book a cylinder, he added.
