Theosophical meet on April 2, 3

GUWAHATI, March 11 - The Eastern India Theosophical Conference will be held at the Srimanta Sankaradeva Kalakshetra in the presence of some internationally known theosophists on April 2 and 3.

The two-day conference will be attended by over 200 theosophists from Bihar, Odisha, Jharkhand, West Bengal and the eight north-eastern States who will deliberate on the relevance of theosophy as an answer to the prevailing mental and spiritual turmoil prevailing in the world.

The basic theme of the conference is �Promotion of brotherhood of mankind and unity of religions.� A message will also be transmitted to create awareness about the futility of pointless religious feuds and assert the essential unity of mankind.

The reception committee has requested the general public to attend the event.

The first day�s conference will be addressed by S Sundaram, general secretary, Indian Section of Theosophical Society while BL Bhattacharya, national director, Theosophical Order of Services of India will be the guest of honour. Dr PK Nayar, national secretary of Theosophical Order of Services, PK Mahapatra, East Zone coordinator and assistant general secretary of Indian Section of Theosophical Society and veteran theosophists Manju Sundaram will address the conference as resource persons.

The main conference of both the days will be presided over by DN Chakravartty, president, Assam Theosophical Society.
