GAURIPUR, June 2 - There has been a sharp rise in theft cases in Gauripur town that has led to serious concern among the local people.
Miscreants recently broke open the donation box of the famous Sarbajanin Kali temple situated along the Hospital Road and took away the entire cash.
In another development, two grocery shops were looted. Despite complaints from various quarters, police failed to nab the culprits.
A section of concerned citizens claimed that burglary cases are on the rise. However, no action has been initiated so far.
�Police should carry out operations to check burglary cases,� they observed.
