AGARTALA, Aug 31 - Thailand Ambassador to India Chutintorn Gongsakdi met Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb in his office and discussed about the proposed visit of Thai Queen Maha Chakri Siridhorn to the State, official sources said here on Friday.
The Thai Queen will be on an official visit to Delhi in November and she has expressed her desire to pay a visit to three Northeastern States � Manipur, Tripura and Mizoram, the envoy informed the Chief Minister here on Thursday.
The Chief Minister gave the Thai envoy a brief on three Buddha stupas � Machmara, Boxanagar and Pilak. Deb also assured the envoy that the State Government will extend all possible help to the Queen when she visits the State.
While speaking to the media, the envoy said, Thailand Government is keen to explore business ties with India�s Northeastern region. �With rapidly changing scenario, Bangkok is interested to explore business possibilities in Northeastern part of India. This area still remains unexplored even as it has tremendous potentials�, he added.
