GUWAHATI, March 30 - Tezpur University clinch the title in the NITS Mirza Inter College Cricket Tournament organised by NITS, Mirza at their own playground.
In the final played today, the Tezpur University (TU) team defeated Gauhati University Institute of Science and Technology (GUIST) by 32 runs.
Batting first the TU boys scored a challenging 135 for nine in the stipulated 20 overs. Anurag Talukdar was their top scorer with 54. In reply the GUIST were all out for 103. The individual prize winners were-Divyanand (TU, Man-of-the-Match): Arindam Paul (GUIST, Man-of-the-Series), Anurag Talukdar (TU, Best Batsman), Sandeep Bangthai (GUIST, Best Bowler).
