Tezpur Science Academy shines in HS Final Examination

TEZPUR, June 1 - Tezpur Science Academy, a frontline Junior Science and Arts College in Tezpur town shone in the HS final Examination result that were declared on Thursday with cent per cent pass percentage in both the streams.

The frontline Higher Secondary, academic institution affiliated to the ASHEC, a voulntary organisation formed by a group of retired teachers and qualified teaching professionals with bright academic credentials, has been trying its best to improve and enhance education in and around Tezpur since its inception. The educational institution established in 2002 and located in a suburban atmosphere on the fringes of Tezpur town and guided by noted educationist Prof Haren Bothra and noted social worker, Dr Lakhi Goswami is a non-profit making secular educational body. The college was initially started as a science college. However, it has grown leaps and bounds in the last few years and now also has the Arts stream. This year too in both the streams the college has been able show excellent performance with cent per cent pass percentage. Interacting with this correspondent, the Principal of the institution, Suranjana Sarma mentioned that in Science stream altogether 80 candidates have got first division out of which 25 have secured star marks. Thirty-eight candidates have got second division and only eight have secured third division.

In the Arts stream, out of 18 candidates, five have secured first division, ten have secured second division while three have got third division among which one has secured star marks. �Among the candidates 35 have got letter marks in English, 47 in Alt. English, three in Physics, ten in Chemistry, six in Mathematics, 21 in Biology, nine in Assamese, one in Economics and one in Political Science,� the Principal said adding that students of the college namely Kumar Shivam Das has got highest marks (90) in Physics, Krishnanu Talukdar has got highest 91 marks in Chemistry, Saurav Borah has secured highest 88 marks in Mathematics, Kumar Shivam Das has secured highest 96 marks in Biology, Byanjana Nath has secured highest 73 marks in Statistics, Pranab Basumatary and Susmita Tamang have secured highest 93 marks in English, Akangsha Baruah and Anjali Sona Daimary have secured highest 94 marks in Alt. English, Anwesha Borah and Monjit Patangia have secured highest 88 marks in Assamese, Kaji Abeidur Rahman has secured highest 83 and 88 marks respectively in Economics and Political science reflecting the dignity of the institution.

The Principal of the college, Suranjana Sarma, and the man behind the institution Prof Haren Bothra and Vice-Principal Amitabh Rajkhowa alongwith the faculty members have congratulated all the successful candidates.
