GUWAHATI, June 17 - Tezpur Sector emerged champions in the 5th�ITBP Intra Frontier Football Competition. In the one-sided final played at Sobnapur on June 15 Tezpur outwitted Dibrugarh 13-0 leading 3-0 at the breather.�Head Constable A Suresh and Constable Shivamani Jamatiya of Tezpur Sector scored 5 and 4 goals respectively. A Suresh was adjudged best player and Constable Nabo Kumar Das of Dibrugarh Sector was picked as the best goal keeper of the competition.

Selected players will represent the North East Frontier team in the 5th�Inter Frontier Football Competition scheduled to be held at Sonapur from July 1 to 3.

RS Chandel, Commandant, 33rd�Bn felicitated the winners in the closing function. Chandel also inaugurated the championship on June 13. Other officers Dr Chandan Debnath, CMO (SG) and Sh Fayaz Khan, Second-in-Command, Secretary, organising committee were also present on the occasion.

Three teams-Tezpur, Likabali and Dibrugarh of ITBP took part in the meet, stated a release issued here.
