JALUKBARI, March 5 - Tezpur College emerged champions in the Gauhati University Inter College Cricket Tournament (Men) organised by GU Sports Board and Post Graduate Students� Union, GU in association with Assam Cricket Association at the GU premises.
In the final played today, Tezpur College defeated Post Graduate Classes by 64 runs.
Batting first, Tezpur College managed to score 206 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in 25 overs. In reply, the PG Classes team were all out for 142 runs in 17 overs.
Suraj Talukdar of Tezpur College was adjudged Man-of-the-Match as well as Best Batsman of the Tournament. Saddam Ansari was adjudged the best bowler of the tournament.
