Terang hoists Sabha flag on second day

Baithalangso, Feb 2 � The second day of the Asam Sahitya Sabha�s sixth special annual session started today after hoisting of the Sabha flag at 8 am by Sabha president Rong Bong Terang.

After completing the smriti tarpan programme led by Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC) CEM, Jayram Engleng, Mukak (Ramdhenu), an interactive session among the old and new writers-artists began at 10 am which was inaugurated by Assamese film director Manju Bora.

It may be mentioned here that during the Ramdhenu programme, a number of upcoming writer including veteran writers and poets of the State took part. In the writer-artists meet programme presided over by Rong Bong Terang and headed by Ismain Hussain, all the upcoming writers were given priority to open up their views and comment on their their self composed poems and books.

On the other hand, it is interesting to note that the thin presence of local people during the second day of the sabha dumbfounded the booksellers and vendors. While replying to a question, several booksellers and vendors said that obviously dull during the last two days. However, they hoped things would look up in the days to follow.
