GUWAHATI, April 5 � Noted litterateur and former president of Asam Sahitya Sabha (ASS) Rong Bong Terang has been asked to pay Rs 3 lakh by militant outfit KPLT as extortion money.
The former president of the apex literary body of the State told The Assam Tribune that he had received the extortion call on Thursday and immediately refused to pay the money.
�After receiving the call I flatly declined to pay, and have informed the police about the development,� Terang said.
