Temporary trade permits withdrawn

By City Correspondent

GUWAHATI, June 11 - The Kamrup (Metro) district administration has withdrawn all the temporary permission issued to individuals during the current lockdown to deal in varieties of essential and non-essential items.

In an official order, the administration warned that any person found selling poultry, mutton, fish, vegetables, fruit, etc., without a valid trade licence at any place would be prosecuted as per provisions of the law. Carrying out such trades using mobile vans will also be treated as illegal and action taken, the order stated.

A GMC official said, The individuals can contact GMC for trade licence if they want to continue with their trading activities.
