GANGTOK, Aug 9 - The swelling waters of the Rangit river partially damaged Kirateshwar Mahadev temple in Sikkim.
State Agriculture Minister and local MLA Lok Nath Sharma visited the temple at Legship to access the damage.Sharma inspected the temple premises lining the riverbank and also erosion-hit areas nearby.
He deliberated on the protection measures and renovation work need to be taken up with the government officials and members of the temple management committee.
He handed over a sum of Rs 30,000 to the temple committee as immediate relief .
