Teacher�s exemplary work on corona awareness

GUWAHATI, April 15 - The COVID-19 pandemic across the world has spurred many people to contribute their mite so that the impact is softened to the best extent possible.

Madan Dutta, an assistant teacher of Dallang Milan Vidyapith � a higher secondary school � at Kamalpur under Kamrup district distributed leaflets on the precautions needed to be taken in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic among the students at their homes. He also demonstrated to the students and their guardians the methods of maintaining cleanliness and washing of hands frequently. Subsequently, Dutta also distributed awareness leaflets at various places including at the Manjula Dutta Memorial Kuljyoti Trust and in a number of villages including Dallang, Athgaon, Panitema, Sonapur, Raipat, Kalakuchi, Septi, Borka, Athiaboi, Bonmajha, Manimeri, Baragog, Nakuchi, Boragaon, Baregaon etc., and asked the residents through loudspeakers to remain alert and aware. This was stated in a press release.

Moreover, in the wake of the nationwide lockdown, which was declared on March 24 last and subsequently extended till May 3 next, as the schools have been closed down indefinitely, Dutta collected the phone numbers of the students and appealed to them to open Whatsapp groups classwise and continue their studies online. He also distributed soaps and biscuits among the students. He has also promised to help the financially weak students and their families.

Meanwhile, a resident of Guwahati, Dhiren Dutta distributed food materials among 24 families of Dallang village recently, the press release added.
