DIBRUGARH, Sept 5 - The district administration of Dibrugarh today organized the 58th Teachers� Day celebration function at DSHK.
Inaugurating the event, Deputy Commissioner Pallav Gopal Jha said that teachers have tremendous influence to transform a society. In the cut throat competition where students are faced with multiple challenges, teachers must also work towards bringing radical change in the present day education system, he said.
Addition Deputy Commissioner Partha Pratim Bairagi who also addressed the gathering said that teachers have to first understand the mind of the students and then nurture them accordingly so that they are not misled. Inspector of Schools Deepika Chaudhury also addressed the gathering.
As part of the tradition, the administration felicitated 13 teachers of the district for their outstanding role in education. They are- Pushpanjali Gogoi, Arifa Begum, Nalani Mazumdar, D Gogoi, Bhadreshwar Gogoi, Deepali Lahon, Anjumoni Phulkonwar, Pradip Changkakoty, Mohan Lal Upadhyay, Lohit Chandra Gogoi, A Y Wingken, Chandralekha Bharali and Nripen Gohain.
