HATSINGIMARI, April 2 � At a time when the State Government is giving special thrust in the education sector, on the other hand some school teachers are serving in schools without any student in class since their date of joining. Such a case has come to light in Hatsingimari of Dhubri district where one subject teacher of Mathematics, namely Mehbuba Rohman has been serving for the last 12 years without a single student at Kukurmara HS School.
As per an RTI report provided by the principal of the said school, Sadrul Amin Mollah, since the academic session 2000 not a single student has taken admission in the Mathematics subject in class XI and XII and appeared in examination.
But the teacher has been serving there smoothly even with the knowledge of local authority. The local people alleged that Mehbuba Rohman is serving easily and no action has been taken against her because she is the wife of powerful and rich person of the locality.
