TURA, April 25 - Tura Police on Wednesday arrested a school teacher after a complaint of sexual misconduct was filed against him at the Tura PS in West Garo Hills district.
According to information received here, the teacher has been booked under the POCSO Act as the victim is a minor.
�We are currently investigating the case. The teacher has been booked for molestation,� confirmed West Garo Hills SP Dr MGR Kumar.
Meanwhile, condemning the incident, Achik Youth Council president Silning D Sangma said, �The teacher needs exemplary punishment for what he has done. Our children are not safe anywhere. This is heinous and condemnable.�
