DIBRUGARH, Aug 1 - The office of the Inspector of Schools here yesterday set a precedent by arranging for disbursement of pension benefit to all the retired persons on the day of their retirement in the district.
As a first example in the district, one Pratul Patwary, an assistant teacher of Nandeshwar Chakraborty High School was given away the pension benefit and other allied documents on his retirement day at a small function. Deepika Chaudhury, Inspector of Schools while addressing the gathering urged all headmasters and teachers of the district to submit their documents six months prior to their retirement so that the office of the Inspector of Schools could arrange payment of the pension benefit on the last day of their service.
On receiving the pension benefit, Patwary expressed his gratitude to the Inspector of Schools for making the payment on his last day of service. This must continue for all others, he said.
