AGARTALA, June 6 - Tripura Board of Secondary Education (TBSE) on Tuesday declared Madyamik examinations-2017 with pass percentage of 67.38, a little decline in the pass-percentage what it was last year.

Interestingly, there was a hard-hitting contest to share top-10 merit list as altogether 18 students shared the elite group.

Students from the rural schools were not far behind in finding place in elite list as 9 slots were taken by students from the schools of sub-divisional towns. Of course, Sishu Bihar School, one of the best institutions of the city came up with flying colours with five students found place in the top 10 merit list.

This year, boys outperformed girls as of the total 18 most meritorious examinees, only six girls managed to secure place in the elite group.

Arnab Chowhan of Shishi Bihar HS School of Agartala got the topped position with 687 and letter of distinction in all seven subjects, he said.
