Tarun Gogoi to contest from Titabor

JORHAT, Jan 30 � Brushing aside all age-related apprehensions, Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi today said he will contest the 2016 Assembly elections from Titabor constituency with enthusiasm.

�I will fight the ensuing Assembly poll with even more enthusiasm,� Gogoi said here today. Along with his MP son Gaurav Gogoi, the Chief Minister participated in a Congress booth committee meeting in the city today and said that peace and development were his priorities.

A jubilant Gogoi also informed that a majority of the existing MLAs of the Congress party would get tickets for the ensuing Assembly polls. Significantly, he indicated about induction of new candidates in such Assembly constituencies which were lost by the Congress in the last Assembly poll.
