Talk on glimpses of cultural heritage of India, North-east held

KALIABOR, June 9 - Itihas Adhayan Kendra, Kaliabor in collaboration with Kuwaritol High School organised a talk-cum-lecture at Kuwaritol High School premises in the presence of students, teachers and educationists recently. The topic of the talk was, �Glimpses of cultural heritage of India and North East� and the lecture was delivered by Dr Nripan Ch Das, Associate Professor, Department of History, Kaliabor College.

Prof Indra Mahanta explained the aims and objectives of the talk and introduced the distinguished persons while Amlan Goswami, HM, Kuwaritol High School delivered his welcome address. Gunin Hazarika, ex-minister addressed the gathering and gave a brief description of Itihas Adhayan Kendra. DK Hazarika, ex-principal, also spoke on the occasion.

Delivering his talk on the subject, Das explained the cultural heritage of ancient India along with the North-east India on the basis of records, pictures and the cultural heritage of various tribes of the North-east. The students present interacted on the subject and Das gave suitable answers.

NN Hazarika, ex-principal, former HoD, History Department, Kaliabor College while commenting on the subject, disclosed that the students benefitted highly as well as others. It also created an awareness among the students, for which students will be interested in history and culture studies. Adhayan Kendra organises such talks on important topics every year.
