SILAPATHAR, May 3 � The Takam Taye Opin Kebang, a clan of Mising community organised a three-day-long programme on April 24-26 at Jatin Taye Lotta at Silapathar Kulajan under Dhemaji district in a befitting manner.

The delegates from Assam and Arunachal Pradesh attended the meet to study about the clan, origin and history. The delegate session was inaugurated by Debeswar Taye of Silapathar on the first day.

The flag of the Takam Taye Opin Kebang was hoisted by Padmanath Taye, president of Opin Kebang, while the swahid tarpan was performed by Joygeswar Taye, secretary of Opin Kebang on the second day. A seminar was also held on the origins of the Taye Opin in the presence of resource persons from Assam and Arunachal Pradesh.

On the third day, a cultural procession and a cultural exhibition were held. The souvenir, Lingkung, edited by Pankaj Taye was released by the former vice president of the Mising Agom Kebang, Anirudh Taye. The open session was inaugurated by Naren Taye and it was presided over by Padmanath Taye, president of Taye Opin.
