GUWAHATI, May 28 � In sync with this year�s World No Tobacco Day theme �Stop illicit trade of tobacco products�, the Preventive Oncology Department and Clinical Society of Dr B Borooah Cancer Institute (BBCI), in collaboration with �Mukti� (a movement against tobacco), is organising a symposium on �Tobacco hazards and control (stop illicit trade of tobacco products)� tomorrow.
The event will be held at the BBCI auditorium from 2 pm. Participants from different sectors, including doctors, educationists, students� union members, NGOs and lawyers will attend the programme, where speakers will address issues on tobacco hazards, control and legislations towards tobacco control and stopping illicit trade of tobacco.
Justice Biplab Kumar Sharma, Dr AC Kataki, Dr JD Sharma, Dr AK Das, Dr SM Bhagabaty, Upasana Sharma and R Neog will speak at the symposium.
