GUWAHATI, Dec 9 - The Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), Frontier Headquarters, Guwahati, is organising a �Swachhata Abhiyan� from December 1 to 15 at various places in Guwahati.
As part of it, a cleanliness drive was organised at the ISBT here today. The officers and jawans of the SSB Frontier Headquarters actively took part in cleaning the bus stand and its surroundings in the presence of Dr PM Kabui, Commandant (Medical), and other senior officers.
The objective of the drive is to promote hygiene education amongst the public, to maintain cleanliness all around, and to achieve the aim of having a clean country and a clean world. It was also done to develop a sense of responsibility in cleaning and protecting the environment for the betterment of society, a statement from the SSB stated.
