GUWAHATI, June 14 - The State health department will conduct swab tests of one-third employees of all the truck parking places and weighbridges located in the city.
Kamrup Metro Deputy Commissioner Biswajit Pegu announced this during a meeting with transporters and owners of parking places and weighbridges here.
The DC also instructed the owners of parking lots, transporters, weighbridge operators and commercial establishments to strictly follow the COVID-19 related regulations.
Pegu said that violation of the same will lead to punishment under the Disaster Management Act. To implement the rules and regulations, the district administration will start an inspection drive, too.
Gauhati High Court Chief Justice Ajai Lamba is the Chancellor of the university.
