GUWAHATI, April 12 - Residents of Suwagpur, Rehabari, will organise a two-day Bihu programme on April 27-28, according to a press release issued here.
A committee comprising Hindu, Muslim and Christian residents of the area led by president Ramendra Kumar Bhuyan has been set up to organise the Bihu programme. Bihu songs, dances, husori, lokageet, borgeet and song and dance performances by invited artistes will be organised during the event. Local socio-cultural experts will be felicitated, and a souvenir will also be brought out on the occasion, the release stated.
