PATACHARKUCHI, April 1 - Amid the worldwide panic over the outbreak of COVID-19, it has come to light that a 45 year-old man from Barpeta district, has been shifted to the Barpeta Medical College Hospital following symptoms of high fever, cold and cough for testing.
He is a resident of Kathalmurighat area under Bajali subdivision in Barpeta district. The man had arrived at Bajali from Kerala recently.
Now, it has come to light that the youth who had returned from Kerala developed a high fever and dry cough, informed Dr Manjit Das, Health Officer, Baghmara.
Earlier, the man was taking shelter at his own home and had refused to obey the direction of Dr Manjit Das, who had arrived at his residence and advised him to stay in quarantine at home.
