NALBARI, March 16 - A couple from Bongaon village in Nalbari district, who had arrived from Chennai on Sunday, was admitted to the isolation ward of Swahid Mukunda Kakati Civil Hospital here today. The couple had developed fever, cough and headache today. The couple works at a private company in Chennai and had returned home by train and disembarked at Rangiya station. The doctors attending the the couple at the isolation ward are keeping a close watch.
The doctors have also sent the specimens for clinical test. Deputy Commissioner Bharat Bhusan Dev Choudhury said that a well-equipped isolation ward has been developed at the Swahid Mukunda Kakati Civil Hospital to admit suspected cases. The couple is under strict vigil, he added.
