DIGBOI, Oct 6 - �None other than Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) incumbent MLA Suren Phukan would get the saffron ticket for the 2021 Assam Assembly elections as he is the most accomplished and competent people-oriented leader with a better progress report in terms of the development of the constituency,� remarked MP Rameswar Teli.
Teli accompanied by Digboi MLA Suren Phukan and Bhaskar Sharma from Margherita was addressing the party workers after inaugurating the MP office at the Digboi Dacca Line area along Digboi-Margherita Road in Tinsukia district.
Meanwhile, repudiating the validity of the rumours doing the rounds here on social media and other platforms against Phukan, Teli said Phukan has done a very good job by dint of his relentless efforts in developing the area.
Teli also inaugurated a Namghar at Mamorani, a project at Panikhowa and laid the foundation stone of a new panchayat office in the Samdung area of Digboi.
�Judge me by my works accomplished in these four years,� Phukan in his speech said.
