Support to State Govt fight against Covid-19

By The Assam Tribune

GUWAHATI, April 1 - To support the Government of Assams fight against Covid-19, Nucleomed, a city-based nuclear medicine and PET-CT facility approved by the Atomic Energy Department, has offered its CT scan facility to the poor and Atal Amrit Abhiyan (AAA) beneficiaries at the same AAA price.

Patients can avail the facilities of CT scan at the centre opposite Rajiv Bhawan, GS Road, from 9 am to 4 pm. Private hospitals empanelled with the Govt of Assam which do not have their own CT scan facilities can also refer their patients to this centre for low cost scans.

The decision of Nucleomed to this effect has been intimated to the State health department.

In a press release, Dr Kandarpa Saikia, head, Nucleomed, has asked the patients to come with a minimum number of attendants and take prior appointment on mobile number 9707012233. He further said all the reports would be sent to the patients/doctors online. Moreover, because of disruption of domestic flights, the FDG PET-CT scan facilities have been deferred at the centre. Only Gallium 68 PSMA/DOTA PETCT/ I131WB molecular imaging is available right now, Dr Saikia said.
