GUWAHATI, Sept 10 - The Chief Minister�s Special Vigilance Cell today submitted a supplementary charge-sheet in connection with the multi-crore-rupee scam under �Vision Assam Mission Assam� scheme of the Directorate of Information and Public Relations.
The chargesheet, filed in the Court of Special Judge, Assam, named former Director of Information and Public Relations Ranjit Gogoi along with Anjana Bora and Rajib Bora of Brahmaputra Television Network, Dilip Kalita of Delta Publicity and Apurba Lahkar of Pradip Advertising and Co as accused. They were booked under various sections of the IPC and the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988.
According to the agency, it was established during the probe that Gogoi had spent the entire sanctioned amount of the scheme by awarding contract to media firms at an exorbitant rate by violating rules and procedures.
