GUWAHATI, Nov 25 - Diamond Star and Assam State FA emerged champions in the U-16 and U-13 categories respectively in the Sunfeast Cup football tournament.
In the finals played at the Gauhati University ground today, Diamond Star edged past Rainbow FC 1-0 while Assam State FA downed National Public School by an identical margin. Rithik Pathak of Diamond Star and Jobirkarum of Assam State FA scored the winning goals for their teams respectively. The final rounds will be held at the Nehru Stadium here on December 8 and 9 where champion teams from Manipur, Meghalaya, Tripura, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh and Assam will vie for the over titles in the U-13 and U-16 categories.
