GUWAHATI, Sept 21 - The first edition of the North East Sunfeast Cup Football Tournament, organised by the SPT Sports Management Pvt Ltd, a Bangalore-based firm, in association with ITC Ltd, will kick off in the city tomorrow at the Nehru Stadium.
Altogether 32 teams are participating in Guwahati chapter (19 teams in U-16 category and 13 in U-13 category).
The U-16 category matches will begin tomorrow from 8 am onwards. APRO FCC will face Lokhora FC in the inaugural match. The other matches of Day 1 are-Narangi Anchalic School vs Gaidillieu FC, GTC vs Betkuchi, NFRCC vs Noonmati CC, NPS vs Morning FC, winner of match one vs Royal Global School.
The finals of both categories will be played on September 26. The champions in both category will win Rs 25,000 in cash along with football equipments. Apart from Guwahati the tournament will be held at Jorhat, Shillong, Aizwal, Itanagar and Imphal.
